In this role, you will have responsibility over the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will have charge over many aspects of internal reporting. This position will also require you to participate in compliance, as well as communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. An involved position, you will be producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. The organization offering this multi-faceted long-term contract / temporary opportunity is based in the Ocala, Florida region, and provides a terrific work environment where effort is rewarded.Key responsibilities- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll- Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation- Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision- Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments- Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested- Maintain monthly payment schedules
